Well, Dear perplexed readers, let me tell you why:
Last summer I was SUPER blessed to be able to go on an all-expense paid trip to China for 2 1/2 months. The trip was through SUU's dance program and I was able to rehearse and perform in a dance production with a professional company called the "Hubei Opera and Dance Drama Theatre".... Long name, I know. Anyways, it was an amazing experience. Some times were funny, others were hard, and there were some times that were so incredible I couldn't believe they weren't a dream. I sent out mass emails to people telling them highlights from the trip, written blog-post style with little paragraphs about different things that had happened during the week. A few weeks into it, I was shocked to find out that people actually read them. Some people laughed at them, and some people even learned or felt inspired in some way. I feel like I learned way too much from this experience to keep it to myself. It was recommended to me to put these into a blog for people to read, so that's exactly what I'm doing. Hopefully someone out there will read this and either have their day brightened with some of the humor, or gain a little strength from my experience.
